DOK-ING has been honoured with the prestigious annual Hrvoje Požar Foundation Award for #innovations in the #energysector 🏆. Mr. Vjekoslav Majetić, the visionary innovator, founder, and owner of DOK-ING, graciously accepted the award. The distinguished ceremony took place in the esteemed Library of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, on Friday, July 5th, 2024. DOK-ING won the award for innovations in the energy sector for the groundbreaking product #Looper. For the past few years, DOK-ING has been focused on the revolutionary Looper, a cutting-edge technology that produces #hydrogen from non-recyclable organic materials. This unique innovation in the market not only advances DOK-ING's technological capabilities and significantly contributes to #globalclimategoals and there are currently no similar commercial solutions for the #disposal of such #textilewaste in Europe. This accolade was awarded to DOK-ING following the electronic voting process conducted by the Main Board of the #HrvojePožarFoundation of the #CroatianEnergySociety. The Hrvoje Požar Foundation has awarded prizes for the 29th time for professional and scientific contributions to climate protection, improvement of environmental quality in the energy sector, innovations in the field of energy, implemented projects of rational energy management, significant professional and scientific activities in energy, and the popularisation of #energy.

Friday 28th of May Nice meeting of the Croatian partners of the AshCycle project! ✨ We are looking forward to further progress on this project, which has great potential for innovation and improvement in our sector. The team has shown incredible enthusiasm and commitment, which gives us additional motivation for future work. 👥 The meeting was attended by colleagues from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and partners from the industry: Beton Lučko d.o.o., Nexe d.d., DOK-ING d.o.o. and GTF. Rovinj and Looper for green energy generation from sewage sludge 💡🔋 This Tuesday we had the pleasure of visiting the City of #Rovinj and Odvodnja Rovinj. It was a second meeting between us and the Mayor of Rovinj marko paliaga and Ognjen Pulić, the CEO of Odvodnja Rovinj and their teams. 🤝✅ After the construction of the wastewater treatment plant and solar #sludge drying at the beginning of 2023, Rovinj will face the challenge of disposing of more than 1.000 tonnes of sewage sludge per year in the most practical and environmentally friendly way. Currently, the only option in Croatia is the expensive landfilling of sewage sludge, which causes high #greenhousegas emissions. Therefore, our #gasification system, Looper, seems to be an optimal solution to this problem. It would be built near the solar sewage sludge drying plant on the outskirts of the city. The system would reduce the volume of sewage sludge by 85 % while generating #energy or hydrogen. The remaining volume, ash and char could be used in the construction industry, for which there are already potential customers. ☀🍃 There is huge potential to realise this vision and we are looking for potential funding sources to demonstrate our idea and close the material #circularity loop in the city of Rovinj with our Looper. It is a pleasure to participate in this year's European Hydrogen Week organised by Hydrogen Europe. We have met many interesting presenters across the whole hydrogen value chain and realised that the #hydrogen market has developed rapidly in recent years. We see that the potential of other #hydrogenproduction pathways such as #gasification and #pyrolysis is not yet sufficiently utilised and we will continue to work on changing this 💪. We would like to point out that our Danica Maljković, PhD, MBA, will talk about these other ways of hydrogen production and our Looper tomorrow, 23 November, at the Hydrogen Production Pathways Forum 🍃. We would like to congratulate the Hydrogen Europe for their great work and are happy to see how much this event has grown since last year. We wish them success and even bigger event next year 🏆 ✨.
