Industrial plants play a vital role in powering modern society, but few are as innovative and impactful as waste-to-energy plants. These facilities transform everyday waste into usable energy, reducing landfill dependency and contributing to a cleaner, greener future. By converting waste into electricity or heat, these plants not only address waste management challenges but also provide sustainable energy solutions. At Zagreb Montaža, we’re proud to support the construction of such industrial plants, where engineering meets environmental responsibility. Transforming waste into power is more than innovation—it's a step toward a sustainable future.

Apart from building bridges, we are also regularly working on projects that include industrial plants. A few years ago, we participated in the replacement of exchangers at the DUKI 2 plant at the chemical company Kutina Petrochemicals. This time, our work included mechanical engineering and assembly works on the replacement of exchangers.

Last weekend, we successfully installed the steel span structure for the overpass at the Orehovica intersection on the A6 highway in Rijeka. The assembly process had minimal impact on the regular traffic flow at the intersection, ensuring smooth operations throughout. This challenging construction project is part of the "Reconstruction and Extension of the Orehovica Intersection on the A6 Bosiljevo - Rijeka Highway." We are proud to be part of this endeavor as members of the Business Association, working alongside GP Krk. In addition to the safe and successful on-site installation, we take great pride in the fact that the steel span structure was manufactured at our own production plant, ZM VIKOM d.o.o., in Šibenik.

Pipelines are more than just metal tubes buried underground—they are the lifelines of industries and communities. These marvels of engineering transport vital resources such as oil, gas, water, and even steam across vast distances, ensuring homes are heated, industries operate, and cities thrive. The fascinating thing about pipelines is their versatility and efficiency. Imagine a single infrastructure system capable of moving energy and resources 24/7 with minimal environmental impact compared to other transportation methods. Pipelines are doing exactly that, and by doing so they are reducing the carbon footprint while providing a safer, more reliable alternative to trucks and ships.

When it comes to bridge construction, one material stands out for its unmatched durability and strength: steel. Its incredible strength-to-weight ratio allows for the creation of large, complex structures that can withstand immense loads without compromising stability. This makes steel an indispensable material for building bridges that endure the test of time. Steel bridges are designed to handle dynamic forces from vehicles, trains, and environmental factors like wind and earthquakes. These qualities ensure safety and longevity of infrastructure even in the most demanding conditions. Steel’s strength isn’t just about building bridges—it’s about building connections that last.

We are proud to be involved in numerous projects throughout Germany and to contribute to the development of essential infrastructure with our expertise. One of our projects was the construction of a new block of the Lünen Thermal Power Plant. We were responsible for the installation of steel structures, equipment and ducts, ensuring a robust and efficient foundation for the plant to operate. We provide reliable solutions that support Germany's energy needs - one structure at a time.
