Other #countries that aim to acquire and master our #knowledge are the ultimate testament to the success of our decades-long #investment #promotion #strategy.   We believe in #successful #cooperation, so the #Hungarian EU Presidency is also an extraordinary opportunity to help #Northern #Macedonia #join the EU. #Focus on the #southern #counties! As set by the #Government, our task is to promote the #economic #development of the #southern regions of our country, now that we have reduced the #economic disparities between the #East and the #West.    From #Baranya to #Békés, there is plenty to do, but the results are already on the horizon. One of the first #winners of the new #strategy is #Makó, where last #summer we announced a EUR 65 million #investment by the #Chinese CPMC Benepack Hungary. The #factory, built by a #Hungarian contractor at full steam, will produce #aluminium packaging materials mainly for #export.    Test operations can start by the end of the year, so the utility improvements needed to serve the growing needs of the #Makó #Industrial #Park should also be completed on time. Today, we reviewed such issues with several ministries.

The week ended with the management of Samsung SDI Hungary   Thanks to the results of the #Göd plant, #Samsung SDI had the second-largest turnover in #Hungary last year.   The #Korean manufacturer also implemented the largest research and development project in the history of the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency - HIPA, worth around EUR 62 million.   We agreed with the company's management that the slowdown in the #automotive industry is temporary and the expectations are positive.   The company reaffirmed its full commitment to the #environment and to Hungarian workers again.

☄ 📢☄ Hungarian-owned Lightware Visual Engineering, Europe’s top #AV #manufacturer announced two new investments. With the 📌EUR 23.8 million projects the company is enhancing its #Budapest headquarters with multiple R&D activities and establishing a new #SSC office in #Szeged. With the developements Lightware creates 📌43 high value-added jobs.

🇦🇪This morning, we welcomed His Excellency Abdulla Bin Touq, Minister of Economy of the #UAE, at HIPA. 🤝Bilateral relations between #Hungary and the #United #Arab #Emirates are developing dynamically. #Investment ties may be upgraded soon, especially now that we have identified #numerous sectoral cooperation #opportunities during today's meeting. These include #healthcare, #financial services, #AI, precision #agriculture, and the list goes on. The Middle Eastern monarchy is an excellent partner of Hungary thanks to its extensive development, investment, and trade activities, and the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency - HIPA is ready to provide all the assistance it can to further strengthen the relationship. I remember it like it was yesterday… It's been 2️⃣ years since I've been running the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency - HIPA. I am #proud to look back on the past few years, as we have had many #successes even in these difficult times. In two years, we have announced 1️⃣0️⃣5️⃣ projects worth more than 2️⃣1️⃣ billion euros. These #investments account for nearly 41,000 new jobs.   On HIPA’s initiative, 1️⃣5️⃣5️⃣ government decisions have been made to develop industrial parks, worth almost EUR 3️⃣ billion.   And yet, we are not stopping, as proven by the 1️⃣1️⃣4️⃣9️⃣ #events of the last two years, including hundreds of #meetings and #consultations with #companies, 8️⃣ gatherings with the Prime Minister, 1️⃣6️⃣5️⃣ Ministerial programmes, 4️⃣0️⃣ Cabinet meetings, 4️⃣7️⃣ executive conferences, 3️⃣2️⃣ working group gatherings, 3️⃣5️⃣ #presentations and 3️⃣0️⃣ #interviews.   A huge #thanks to my colleagues, the professional and prepared team of #HIPA, for the two years of work behind us. We will surely continue 💪

🔔SMR Automotive Mirror Technology Hungary Bt., a Motherson Group company, has announced to implement a 💥EUR 33.3 million investment in Hungary. The Indian #automotive #supplier’s development aims to expand #production and #logistics capacities and install #automation at four different sites in the country.

🇫🇷🤝🇭🇺 #French-#Hungarian bilateral economic relations have further strengthened. Less than a year ago, we laid the foundation stone of Schneider Electric's brand new #zero-#emission factory in #Dunavecse. At the inauguration of the state-of-the-art factory, our plans became a reality, marking the best part of the job. As a part of a EUR 81 million investment, the establishment of the 28,000 m2 smart factory, was supported by EUR 10.5 million from Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency - HIPA. The French group now provides a livelihood for more than 2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ families in Hungary. There was #huge #competition within the company for the realisation of the investment; however, Dunavecse rang the bell. Thanks to all the employees of the Hungarian subsidiary, without them, this success would not have been possible.
