‘Starting 5’ Follows the NBA’s Biggest Stars Over the Course of a Season

Between training, recovery, travel and family time, how do NBA players get it all done in a day? A new docuseries from Netflix called Starting 5 is taking viewers behind the scenes with five of the best players in the league: LeBron James, Jimmy Butler, Anthony Edwards, Domantas Sabonis and Jayson Tatum.
All five are laser-focused on the same goal: winning that year’s NBA championship, though are all at different stages of their lives and careers. Playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, James is focused on staying healthy as he plays his 21st season, while Tatum is angling for the Celtics to bring home a record 18th championship trophy.
UNINTERRUPTED is producing Starting 5 in association with Higher Ground Productions and Omaha Productions.
Starting 5 will be released as ten 45-minute episodes, arriving on Netflix on October 9.
