On August 10, 2024, Alner successfully hosted the event “Mulai se-REUSE Berkreasi untuk Bumi” in collaboration with Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth The event not only promoted the habit of reuse but also marked the first introduction of the Alner Mitra App to the participants. One of our partners, Anita from Cantik Resik Waste Bank, previously faced difficulties in reaching new customers and efficiently managing her business operations. Her sales were limited to word-of-mouth and local reach, and she often felt overwhelmed by the administrative tasks required to keep her business running smoothly. We were honoured to host Christina Aryani SE, SH, MH, a respected member of the Indonesian Parliament, at Alner on July 24, 2024. This visit was a significant moment for us, as we had the opportunity to share our vision and mission for creating a more environmentally friendly and sustainable business. At the Circular Economy Festival 2024 on July 18, the Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Provinsi DKI Jakarta shared plans to restrict single-use packaging to reduce waste. A key takeaway: we all need to actively participate to achieve ideal environmental sustainability. Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Provinsi DKI Jakarta plans to limit the use of plastic and styrofoam in retail, shopping centers, traditional markets, hotels, restaurants, and cafes. They will also enhance collaboration with startups in the sustainability program (refill, recycling, and reuse sectors), e.g., Alner , a startup in the refill and reuse sector.. But will these efforts succeed to reduce waste? Yes, if all parties support and focus together on creating a circular economy. So, what are we waiting for?
