CARI! is committed to continuing the initiatives in enriching disaster knowledge and building resilience through Indonesia Disaster Knowledge Update (IDKU). IDKU has helped us understand the richness and shed light on the extent of disaster knowledge in Indonesia. In 2022, we published 12 IDKUs and, for the first time, established collaborative IDKUs with several partners to broaden perspectives and ensure the right framework for presenting information on specific issues being reviewed. Sejak April 2024, CARI! kembali dipercaya oleh Yayasan Konservasi Alam Nusantara (YKAN) untuk mendukung salah satu kegiatan di bawah strategi ketahanan pesisir, yaitu penyusunan dokumen Rencana Penanggulangan Bencana (RPB) dan penguatan kapasitas penanggulangan bencana di Kabupaten Sabu Raijua. TIim CARI!, diwakili oleh Ramanditya Wimbardana Wimbadi dan Herve Pierre Sidarta, melakukan kunjungan lapangan pertama ke Kabupaten Sabu Raijua dilaksanakan mulai dari 6 sampai dengan 10 Mei 2024. Rakornas PB 2024 dilaksanakan pada tanggal 23-24 April 2024 dan menjadi sarana koordinasi antara BNPB dan BPBD serta mitra kerja terkait di tingkat pusat dan daerah dalam penyelenggaraan penanggulangan bencana. Rakornas PB yang didahului dengan agenda Sidang Komisi ini pada hari pertama yang diikuti oleh segenap unsur pentaheliks, serta acara puncak pada hari kedua. On 5-11 March 2024, CARI's DRM Analyst, Fega Pangestika, was selected as one of the participants to join the second phase of Women's Leadership in Tsunami-based Disaster Risk Reduction Training Programme in Tonga held by United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). 20 selected participants from Asia and Pacific were engaged in the intensive training and acquired knowledge in gender inclusive DRR, learning from the lesson of Hunga Tonga volcanic erruption in 2022. Pada tanggal 4-5 Maret 2024, Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif/Badan Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif melalui Deputi Bidang Pengembangan Destinasi dan Infrastruktur mengundang CARI dalam kegiatan “Rapat Koordinasi Teknis (RAKORNIS) Pengembangan Destinasi Pariwisata Wilayah II” yang dilaksanakan di Kota Makassar. CARI (diwakili Anarita Widyaningrum-Operations Coordinator dan Rifa Atsari-Co founder CARI) hadir sebagai narasumber dengan topik Penerapan Manajemen Krisis di Destinasi Pariwisata pada Sesi Pemaparan hari pertama serta Sesi Diskusi Table Top pada hari kedua. On 11-12 March 2024, CARI! (Mizan Bustanul Fuady B. and Dominic oki Ismoyo) conducted a follow up training on the use of Comprehensive Multi-hazards, Vulnerability, and Risk Assessment (CMVRA) Guideline and Training materials for the key staffs of Social Welfare Department and Korean International Cooperation Agency. The purpose of the training is to enable them in updating the Attapeu Province risk profile in the future and for exploring potential replication to other provinces. A handover session was also organized the two projects that CARI! delivered to Social Welfare Department, as part of the IPCREA program supported by KOICA. CARI! handed over all data, information, and project outputs including the CMVRA, National EOC SOP, and Emergency Response Planning Guideline. Many outputs of these projects are fundamental, such as the first district and village level risk profile for the province, the 1st landslide event database creation, the 1st building survey, and the 1st EOC SOP and ERP SOP, and many others. During the handover, Deputy Director General of SWD and Project Manager of KOICA accepted the results and took note of the lessons learnt of the projects and potential future sustainability prospect of these initiatives.
