Empowering Desa Ban: A Sustainable Future Last week, our CSR team embarked on a meaningful journey to Desa Ban, Karangasem. While focusing on overcoming stunting, we're also committed to addressing the root causes and empowering communities to thrive. In collaboration with East Bali Poverty Project, we're working towards increasing agricultural land productivity and diversifying food crops in Desa Ban. EBPP's focus on agricultural and forestry education aligns perfectly with the community's needs, as they possess sufficient land but face challenges in land management and agricultural knowledge. Through our community empowerment program, we aim to increase income levels and improve nutrition. Nurturing Growth: A Collaborative Effort Against Stunting Stunting, a chronic condition characterized by impaired growth and development in children, is a pressing global health issue with far-reaching consequences. Children affected by stunting often experience physical and cognitive delays, impacting their overall well-being and future potential. At Mitra Prodin, we believe in the power of corporate social responsibility (CSR) to make a positive difference in the communities we serve. We are committed to addressing the challenges faced by our society, including the issue of stunting. Through our CSR this year, we have partnered with 1000 Days Fund to implement a community empowerment program focused on improving nutrition in Ban Village, Karangasem, Bali. The 1000 Days Fund is a dedicated organization working to prevent and reduce stunting in Indonesia through Posyandu Cadres and a Behavioral Change Communication approach. Ban Village was selected as the focus of our program due to its high stunting rate of 18.75% and 19% of our employees are from Karangasem. By working closely with the local community, we aim to create a lasting impact on the lives of villagers, particularly the children who represent the future generations. Through this collaboration, we hope to empower the community to take control of their health and well-being.
