"AI Meets Space: Leveraging AI & Satellites for a Smarter Indonesia" January marks a new beginning, and this year started with an important milestone. We were grateful to take part in the KADIN CEO Forum in New Delhi on January 25, 2025, which took place alongside the meeting between President Prabowo Subianto and Prime Minister Narendra Modi—a key moment in strengthening Indonesia-India partnerships in defense, trade, and technology. At this forum, Nodeflux and XDLINX Space Labs signed an MoU to collaborate on LEO ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) satellites. By bringing together Vision AI and space technology, this collaboration is set to enhance geospatial intelligence for disaster response, food security, maritime surveillance, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure planning. As an archipelagic nation, Indonesia faces unique challenges in managing its vast land and maritime territories. With the right technology, we can improve real-time monitoring and decision-making, helping to build a more resilient, secure, and sustainable future. Last week, I had the privilege of representing Nodeflux Teknologi Indonesia as CTO overseeing Product and Technology at HPE ISV Day. I shared insights into our latest advancements and how Nodeflux is pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with AI and Computer Vision Technology. We’re excited to introduce new features that leverage the power of: 1. Visual Language Models: Our new Anomaly/Behavior Analysis feature uses Visual Language Models combined with interactive Agentic workflow to understand and detect anomalies in visual data more accurately, not only exploiting spatial but also temporal informations. We are also excited to showcase a new AI smart feature for users to be able to search captured images using natural language criteria 2. AI Edge Computing (AI BOX): Our AI BOX solution brings the power of AI closer to the data source, reducing latency and improving performance. We now support not only GPU but also CPU/NPU acceleration that optimizes both cost, form factor, and power consumptions 3. Efficient Video Compression Module: Our new video compression appliance can reduce bandwidth by up to 87% compared to what is typically produced from CCTV, making it ideal for applications with limited bandwidth or storage. It's truly delightful that Nodeflux Teknologi Indonesia was able to collaborate with PT Pertamina Training & Consulting to create a welcome screen at the PT Pertamina (Persero) booth during the Fordigi BUMN Summit 2024. Unexpectedly, this cute robot was quite captivating and provided a pleasant experience for visitors to the PT Pertamina (Persero) booth. From this event, we can learn that simple implementations like a welcome screen combined with face recognition can have a significant impact in use cases for enhancing the visitor experience at exhibition booths.
