Kia ora! Hello! New Zealand School Jakarta (NZSJ) is looking for qualified, experienced and passionate teachers to join our team and be part of our community. NZSJ is a progressive, growing international school situated in the heart of Kemang in South Jakarta. We employ the New Zealand Curriculum supplemented with other academic programmes to serve the educational needs of children from Preschool to Pre-University. At NZSJ, our goal is to provide an exceptional education to allow our children to grow into happy, resilient lifelong learners, as well as – importantly - to provide a place where every teacher can make a difference. RESPONSIBILITIES : The person in this position will be highly collaborative, understanding, caring, and dedicated to support the development of the children in our school. Key tasks will include: Lesson planning and preparation. Identifying key learning objectives and outcomes. Record keeping and report writing. Providing emotional, social and academic support to all students. Maintaining communication channels with parents. Attending meetings and professional development. Planning or supporting the organisation of events. Working in collaboration with other staff members. Documenting student progress and communicating with parents. Complying with school, and class rules and regulations. REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field. Minimum of 5 years teaching experience. Strong understanding and commitment to the pedagogy of the New Zealand curriculum Excellent understanding of classroom management, classroom activities and best practices in teaching and learning. Must have a compassionate and positive attitude. Fluent in written and verbal English communication. Outstanding interpersonal and presentation abilities.
