[The Perks of Being a Paragonian 💫 ]
The Paragon Corporate Gathering 2025 was held from January 20-22, 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. To our surprise, the event went viral on several social media platforms. Why? Because we brought 1,200+ employees from Indonesia to Malaysia!
I won’t go into how amazing the event was (as people said), but I’d like to share my personal journey as a Paragonian and a crew member for this meaningful gathering. Was it easy? Absolutely not. Here’s why:
1. We had just 1.5 months to prepare.
2. The event involved 1,200+ participants, with 300 of them traveling abroad for the first time—many didn’t even have passports yet!
3. None of us had prior experience organizing a corporate event abroad.
4. I worried about whether we could deliver the event’s key messages after investing so much time, energy, and resources.
So, why did I keep going?
1️⃣ A shared belief in making the impossible possible
At Paragon, we live by the mantra “Make It Happen.” This belief is ingrained in every layer of the organizing team. The spirit, enthusiasm, and determination to succeed were contagious, making the challenges feel like opportunities.
2️⃣ Unwavering trust from leadership
Paragon’s leadership culture is unique. For instance, the chairperson of this massive, high-stakes event was someone who had only worked at Paragon for two years. This kind of trust extends across the organization, where even major brands are sometimes born from projects led by fresh graduates in our Management Trainee program.
3️⃣ A focus on the bigger picture
With the trust and support of our leaders, I felt empowered to focus on doing my best to deliver the event’s key messages. If others believed in us, how could we not believe in ourselves?
4️⃣ An incredible team dynamic
The PCG 2025 organizing team was phenomenal. The shared vision, the dedication to creating the best possible experience for participants, and the collective energy were inspiring. Despite the challenges and tight deadlines, everyone went above and beyond to make this event a success.
Being a Paragonian means being trusted and given unparalleled opportunities for self-exploration and growth. Since joining, I’ve experienced so many "Gebrakan" for my self. As simple as, I used to need at least two days to prepare for public speaking. Now, I can be told the same day that I’m presenting—and I’ll make it happen! This confidence wouldn’t be possible without the belief and opportunities provided by my leaders.
