Dengan terbitnya PMK 172 tersebut, Direktorat Jenderal Pajak semakin aktif dalam melakukan pemeriksaan transfer pricing terhadap transaksi afiliasi antar negara dan bahkan transaksi afiliasi domestik. Koreksi transfer pricing yang terjadi bukan hanya dikenakan pada PPh Badan namun juga dikenakan pada PPh Potput dan PPN.
