PVM Philippines: Focusing on Employee Engagement As a testament to its dedication to its employees’ well-being and its strong focus on sustainability, PVM Philippines held its Employee Engagement Week from July 8-12, 2024. The week commenced with the Sustainability Talk on July 8 in partnership with Plastic Exchange and Hope. This initiative was a good kick-off for the week with a call to action to contribute personally to the environmental cause of PVM.    As the week unfolded, selected employees from various departments embarked on a transformative journey through the "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" on July 9-10. This program, rooted in the principles crafted by Stephen Covey, was designed to foster self-leadership and personal growth, empowering individuals to navigate the complexities of the corporate world with personal effectiveness. On July 10-11, employees were led to enter the Candy Castle with a gamified refresh rollout of the six PVM Values and PVM Philippines’ Purpose Vision and Value Pillars. They delved into the enchanted castle, facing challenges that brought all these to life. Twelve cross-functional teams engaged in this experiential learning journey, emerging not only with a sense of fun but also with a renewed commitment to embody the PVM values and behaviors in their daily work. On the same day, the company came together once again in celebration of PVM Philippines' triumph in the BUAP Honor Roll, where it was recognized for its Employee Experience Program for 2023. This was done through a salo-salo over drinks and curated pastries in PVM’s BGC office. This accolade was a reflection of the organization's unwavering commitment to its people, marking the 40th anniversary with a legacy of pride and excellence. The last highlight of the Employee Engagement Week was the community cleanup at the Las Pinas Wetlands on Friday, July 12. The proceeds of the activity will be shared to Aling Grace who is part of the Aling Tindera Program and was actually there with PVM employees during the cleanup. Employees returned to work with a deeper understanding of the importance of self-leadership, a stronger connection to their values, and a heightened sense of responsibility towards the environment.   In the end, PVM Philippines engaged employees and galvanized a workforce to Lead Themselves, Live the PVM Values, and Make an Impact.
