Earlier this month, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, PT IMC Pelita Logistik Tbk (PLog) planted 1,000 trees across 4 hectares—an area roughly the size of 6 football fields—in Terik Village, Paser Regency, East Kalimantan. This initiative reflects the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability, focusing on reforestation and biodiversity enhancement. The project features eight tree species, including Jengkol, Petai, Cempedak, Durian, Gaharu, Mahogany, Sengon, and Trembesi, chosen for their ecological and economic benefits. The company’s Board of Directors actively participated, symbolically planting trees to demonstrate their support for these sustainability efforts. This program aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 13: Climate Action and Goal 15: Life on Land, reaffirming the company’s dedication to sustainable development and environmental conservation. A Brighter Future with Clean Water This month, PT IMC Pelita Logistik Tbk proudly handed over a bore well and four 1,200-liter water tanks to the Head of Lempesu Village, in Paser Regency, East Kalimantan. This initiative, benefiting 284 households in the village, is part of company's commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation. The inauguration ceremony was attended by our Board of Directors, marking a significant step in our efforts to empower local communities through sustainable solutions. With careful planning, this project was designed to minimize environmental impact while providing a long-term solution for clean water access. We’ve donated 67 kg of clothing to support sustainability with EcoTouch! This effort is estimated to save 243.54 kg of carbon emissions. Wearable items will be donated, while non-wearable clothing will be recycled into new products or used by local seamstresses. Our collaboration with EcoTouch highlights our commitment to reducing textile waste and carbon emissions, while also supporting sustainable building material development. This is just one of many steps we’re taking to protect the environment and ensure a greener future. Thank you to all employees who participated!
