The ASEAN Global Leadership Program (AGLP) 2024, held at the London School of Economics and Political Science from 2-6 September, brought together 40 senior executives from the ASEAN countries for a week of interactive learning and networking. The 5-day program covered key topics such as Geopolitics, Entrepreneurship, Climate Change, Future of Work, and Agile Leadership. The participants were engaged in active discussion with senior LSE academic faculty, industry experts, and guest speakers, and thus creating a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange and networking. ✍ We are proud to announce a new partnership between ESCP Business School and SRW&Co. to launch the #ASEAN Global Leadership Programme (AGLP), to be delivered in May 2025. Titled “Leadership Excellence: Harnessing the Power of Technology and Fine Arts,” AGLP is designed to empower senior ASEAN executives with the knowledge and tools to navigate both challenges and opportunities in the region. On Monday, 9 September, our Executive President and Dean, Leon Laulusa, and EVP of Executive Education, Veronique Tran, met with Daniel Wong and Jolanda Sadrach, Founding Partners at SRW&Co., to officially launch the partnership and solidify their collaboration on the custom programme design and delivery, joint research, and the promotion of AGLP and other ESCP offerings in the region. The last edition of AGLP China was successfully conducted in Shanghai in September 2019 with very positive feedback from the participants. China is a very important global economy and is the largest trading partner with ASEAN and vice versa. Besides trade and investment, China had also contributed to many important regional development initiatives in ASEAN, especially in the infrastructure sector like the BRI initiative. In the midst of all these regional development initiatives in ASEAN, we believe it is important to develop and enhance the competencies of the ASEAN leaders to initiate and lead the various initiatives in their respective companies and countries. Hence the theme of the 2024 AGLP China edition is: “Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Cutting-edge Insights from China”. We look forward to welcoming another group of ASEAN leaders to a very exciting AGLP China edition in Beijing this year. The Ambassador of Spain to Indonesia, H.E. Mr. Francisco Aguilera Aranda, hosted a luncheon gathering for the Indonesian participants of ASEAN Global Leadership Program (AGLP) 2023 and Global Leadership Program (GLP) 2024 on Thursday 13th June in his residence. The participants attended the programs at the Barcelona campus of IESE Business School, which was organised by SRW&Co.. IESE has been ranked global No.2 business school in the 2024 FT Business School Rankings for the Executive Education Custom Programs category. H.E. Ambassador Aguilera had a good meeting with the participants and received favourable feedback from them about the programs and their experiences in Barcelona and Spain. In his welcoming speech, the Ambassador mentioned about the importance of executive education for leaders and hope the participants will apply the knowledge they gained from the programs to improve their performance for the benefit of their organisations. He also mentioned that the Spain Embassy is fully supportive of the programs and stand ready to render any assistance and support when needed. Daniel Wong, Chairman and Partner of SRW&Co. thanked the Ambassador for his gracious hospitality and support to the programs. He also mentioned that the programs received strong support from the Indonesia Ambassador to Spain, H.E. Dr. Muhammad Najib who gave a keynote address at the closing gala dinner of the 2 programs in Barcelona. The ASEAN Global Leadership Program (AGLP) LSE 2024, a collaboration between SRW&Co. and The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in the fall of 2024. The decision to conduct the second edition is based on the very positive feedback from the participants who attended our first edition of AGLP in the spring of 2019. The 2024 fall edition of our AGLP with LSE will be the 25th edition of our AGLP since its inception in 2009. The 5-day custom designed AGLP will provide value for leaders from the private and public sectors in the ASEAN countries by drawing on LSE’s global expertise in teaching and research in designing and delivering a world class leadership development programme. The AGLP will provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences between the LSE faculty and the participants and among the participants themselves in addressing the challenges and opportunities faced by the leaders in the region. We had drawn on the experiences and insights from the past editions of our AGLP in working very closely with the Programme Academic Directors, Professor Michael Cox and Professor Saul Estrin in designing a world class executive education programme. The 5-day programme is premised on a thoughtful design of agenda and curriculum comprising classroom lectures, panel discussion, company site visits and a business networking event. The theme of the programme is aptly entitled: “After Globalisation? Leading the World Economy in an Age of Turbulence”. On the 3rd day of GLOBAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM in collaboration with IESE Business School, participants visited R&D Team in HP Company, to learn about innovation, agility and change management. The afternoon session was about Crisis Management by Prof. Jaume Ribera; in this participants learned that a crisis is an opportunity to accelerate the growth of companies and its people. On the 4th day, Prof. Alejandro Moreno led the discussion on Developing High Performing Team and an eye-opener session on ESG and Climate Finance by Prof David Teeters. The sessions was then continued with Gala Dinner and Certificate Ceremony with Special Guest from Ambassador of Indonesia to Spain, HE Dr. Muhammad Najib. On the last day, participants learn from art and the importance of legacy from Antoni Gaudi’s work, La Sagrada Familia led by Prof. Dr. Judith Urbano. This session conclude the Global Leadership Program in IESE Business School, Barcelona. #GLP #globalleadershipprogram #leadership #global #SRW
