We are excited to share that on August 5-6, 2024, our CEO of TORAJAMELO and Founder of AHANA, Aparna Bhatnagar Saxena participated in the Forward Faster Now | Asia & Oceania event organized by the United Nations Global Compact. The event, held at the Asia School of Business in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, brought together leaders from across the region to discuss and drive forward sustainability initiatives. Aparna had the honor of speaking at the High-Level Opening Panel on "Forward Faster SMEs: Small Businesses, Big Impact," moderated by Esther An of UN Global Compact Network Singapore. She was joined by esteemed co-panelists: Yee Chin Cheng - DTC World Corporation Pte Ltd Johary Mustapha - Forest Interactive Mevan Peiris - Hatch Works (Pvt) Ltd. Together, they explored the pivotal role of small and medium-sized enterprises in driving sustainable economic growth and development across the region, discussing strategies to enhance SME sustainability, including green technologies and circular economy principles. The event featured numerous thought-provoking sessions covering a wide range of topics, including gender equality, sustainable finance, food security, and the evolving regulatory landscape for sustainability. It was inspiring to witness so many passionate leaders and innovators come together to accelerate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
