🔴Amidst the violence, displacement, and systemic discrimination of the ongoing crisis in #Gaza and the #WestBank, Palestinian women have emerged as resilient leaders. 👉 From managing #displacementcamps to providing critical support, and advocating for resources, they are playing a crucial role in their communities. Yet, their work remains overlooked. 🤝 Supporting Palestinian #women at the forefront of recovery and peacebuilding efforts is essential to build a peaceful and just future for #Palestine.

🌏Yesterday government ministers met in #Baku, Azerbaijan, for a high-level ministerial dialogue to try to make progress towards the #NewCollectiveQuantifiedGoal on #climatefinance, to be agreed at #COP29 next month. 🗣 Commenting the meeting, ActionAid’s Global Lead on #ClimateJustice, Teresa Anderson, said: “While many governments are starting to face the reality that addressing the #climatecrisis will cost trillions, there is still a rift between developed and #developingcountries. #Developedcountries’ coy talk of a “multilayered approach” to finance is code for their efforts to count loans and private #investments towards the new climate finance goal. If they could, rich countries would probably like to count the sun, the moon, and grandpa’s old socks as climate finance too. 👉 Countries that are already being pushed into debt by the cost of escalating #climatedisasters know that the only way to avert runaway #climatebreakdown is for the rich developed counties to provide trillions of dollars in much-needed grants.”

More than 608,000 people are currently displaced by conflict in Lebanon, according to IOM - UN Migration. Many of those who are displaced have little access to food or clean water. But for #women, the conflict has brought additional difficulties. 👉Read: https://lnkd.in/daNpSgFP

🔴 Dr Mohammed Salah, acting director in our partner #hospital Al-Wada in #NorthernGaza, did a lengthy interview on Drivetime RTE last night about the dire conditions patients and staff are enduring. Operations are being carried out without anaesthetic. Shortly after the interview was recorded the Israelis ordered that the hospital be evacuated.
