The Voice of Adult Learning
About us
AONTAS are Ireland’s national adult learning organisation. We raise awareness of why adult education and community education is so beneficial for people, families, and communities. We carry out evidence-based qualitative and quantitative research and use this to advocate for equal access to education and for support for education providers. We are also Ireland's national coordinator for the European Agenda for Adult Learning, and we work with other organisations across Europe to improve policies and support for learners and educators. Founded in 1969, we're an independent NGO, with hundreds of members nationwide.
