It’s always a pleasure visiting Dunsany Nature Reserve, and yesterday was no exception! Great to catch up with Randal and also see Meg and Sam from PolliKnow. We got to check out the results from the first pollinator cameras PolliKnow set up at Dunsany, and we were blown away with the findings. I was also amazed to learn how important Hoverflies are as pollinators. It’s incredible to see so many thriving there—it’s just one of the things that makes the reserve such a magical place. We even spotted some deer running past, reminding us how connected we are to nature when we’re in this beautiful setting. We also introduced the SensorStick, which will soon be used at Dunsany to gather vital underground data. We’re excited to see what insights it will reveal about the ecosystem, particularly in understanding fungal and bacterial activity. We’ll be sharing some pictures from the PolliKnow project soon, but in the meantime, here are a few snapshots from yesterday. Of course, no picture can truly capture the beauty of nature like being there in person! ✨🐝🌺 #DunsanyNatureReserve #PolliKnow #Biodiversity #Rewilding #Nature #Sustainability #SensorStick
