Staring straight ahead, Brendan Mullin wore a stony expression as the unanimous verdict of the 12-person jury was read out in Court 22 this afternoon. Sitting in the dock wearing a dark grey suit and a blue tie with a bird pattern on it, the guilty verdict marked the culmination of what his lawyer had already described as a “spectacular fall from grace”.
