The ICC Belfast | Waterfront Hall | Ulster Hall was a fantastic venue for hosting One Young World last year. The Summit took over Belfast, bringing over 2,000 young leaders to the city to discuss key societal issues, including mental health, the food crisis, education, the climate emergency, and peace and reconciliation. We're incredibly proud to have played a role in making this summit a resounding success. Together with our amazing partners, we created an unforgettable experience that will have a lasting impact.
It is hard to believe that this time last year we were hosting the phenomenal One Young World Summitt 2023 at ICC Belfast 💙 Bringing together the brightest young leaders and professionals from over 190 countries and 250 organisations, the gathering created an empowering platform to connect, learn and address urgent global challenges. With venue exclusivity, every space was utilised to allow a range of sessions to be delivered simultaneously across the three days, including keynote speeches, workshops, networking sessions and much more. Sustainability and impact are now crucial elements for associations, destinations, and venues. The EICC recently launched its inaugural Impact Report for 2023, revealing impressive achievements: ✅ 60% reduction in carbon emissions (Scope 1 and 2) ✅ 41% reduction in electricity usage and waste production ✅ 46% reduction in water usage Our CEO, Nicola McGrane, commented on the report: “We’re very impressed by the effort that Marshall C. Dallas and his team have made to create a more sustainable venue. Being able to measure these changes, and critically communicate them, is becoming increasingly important. This will undoubtedly be a major selling point for both British and International associations considering Edinburgh.
