Once again DBFL took home a trophy from the annual Dragons at The Docks boat race. Every year the Dragons raises vital funds for the Dublin Simon Community. Great to see Tristan Square, Chapelizod nominated for an Irish Steel Award with O'Carroll Engineering . DBFL provided civil and structural engineering services on this scheme consisting of 180 Social and Affordable apartment units in three separate 5-storey blocks over a basement car-park. The main form of construction is reinforced concrete up to podium slab level and precast concrete wall and floor units above this. The development also incorporates a number of SUDS features to deal with surface water run-off. External balconies and winter-gardens are supported on structural steelwork framing connected back to the main concrete building elements.
