About us

Whether it's a business sharing quarterly planning discussions and documents, a treasury team updating stakeholders, board level discussions/voting/decisions, a sales team working on a sensitive new project or securing a sensitive document or discussion uploaded by a contact, they are all secrets that a business needs to keep secure - And we ensure that the only people that can access these conversations or documents are the team that are supposed to access them. We can't access them and that makes your most sensitive discussions much more secure and private. It keeps your secrets secret.

Smarter Portals - Every portal supports incoming email so a contact can email a document or new message directly to their portal. We then add any message or documents received to their portal (or create a new one) and even turn it into a task so you can assign to your team and track it's progress using the built-in team task manager. Track tasks that are In Progress/Late/On Hold/Parked and Completed and even the time taken to close out a task. Great for contacts who don't like uploading via the web but can send an email. #portals #tasks #infosec #privacy

Security doesn't have to cause a lot of friction - Sharing, uploading or messaging securely with your team (or your team with them) is a requirement for every business so make it simple and easy for your contacts. One pin per portal instead of per message, encryption by default for maximum privacy and security, a design that makes it easy for a contact to access and share, supports bi-directional messages as well as documents, access 24/7 without having to send out a link and easy authentication. If you keep the friction to a minimum users will use it more and keep your most sensitive data secure. #infosec #privacy

How private are your senior management or board room discussions? If you are still using email then they might not be as private as you believe, and certianly not secure. The information used before, during and after boardroom or senior management meetings is sensitive , includes IP and trade secrets, financial or strategic data, or sensitive decisions and actions. Unauthorized disclosure or breach of this data could severely damage the business and it's governance. Using a dedicated collaboration channel is not only secure and private, it's designed to make your management team more productive everything in one place and the tools to manage and track your management tasks. Good cyber security starts at the senior board level so why not start by protecting your discussions & decisions first! https://dropvault.app/bod #privacy #boardsofdirectors

Still asking your contacts to verify their identity or home address via insecure email? Using email or some not so secure cloud app to upload or store sensitive ID documents on a cloud server jeopardizes both their privacy and your reputation. Encrypted portals offer a simpler solution for sharing any document or message - And 95% of ID documents uploaded remain in the portal so are secure and private, even years down the line. #privacy #id #infosec

When a customer needs to send or upload a sensitive document or message & you need to do it securely, why do they have to wait for you to send them a link? Instead they simply go to your Portal sign in page on your site and use their email and pin to access their portal - It's one pin per portal and not per message or upload, so it's friction-less and simple for your customer with only one pin to remember. And even if they don't have or forgot their pin they can sign in with their Gmail, Microsoft/Outlook and soon their Apple ID. How's that for even less friction? #portals #infosec #privacy

Protect your business reputation, the privacy of your customers & lower your insurance costs, and make your business more productive. These are just some of the benefits when a small/medium sized business takes security seriously and makes changes in how it secures customers, and it's own data. Simple changes to how uploads are managed and secured, or sharing back to a customer or contact, or how the business connects to and shares with a team in another business or vendor, small changes can make a big impact on your business. https://dropvault.app #smb #infosec #sme

Removing personal data when it's no longer required is not only good security practice, it's also a reuirement of many privacy and data protection regulations. That's why we make it easy for a contact to select how long they want their passport, driving license, bank account , home address, health information or other sensitive data sitting on our service. Yes it's always encrypted but why keep it if it's no longer needed? Auto delete puts control back into the hands of the contact or user - where it should be. https://dropvault.app #privacy #infosec

    Protecting your digital assets

Yesterday, I presented at a security and privacy event to highlight how much sensitive data we share or make public, often without realizing the potential impact. I used the humble resume or CV as an example. We see them everywhere—on public networks like LinkedIn, sent via email, uploaded to countless services with little emphasis on security. Let's dissect a typical (perhaps extreme 😉) resume and its potential data: your photo, name, home address, date of birth, email address, home or mobile number. To a malicious actor, this information is like a jackpot. With just some of this data, they can commit: - Identity Theft: Credit card fraud, loans, government services, healthcare fraud - Phishing and Social Engineering - Account Hijacking/Email Compromise - Doxing: Publishing your personal information online, making you vulnerable to harassment or threats - Fraudulent Purchases and Services: Signing up for services in your name, sticking you with the bill - Mail Fraud: Redirecting your mail or intercepting postal communications, potentially gaining access to sensitive information like bank statements - Social Media and Online Reputation Manipulation - Stalking and Harassment. We got your photo, home address, mobile so it's easy to find and harrass you. - Sim Swap Fraud Scary, isn't it? And all from a simple resume or CV that sits unprotected for many years. Awareness of the impact is the first step; securing your data and being selective about sharing it is crucial. As that famous TV line goes "Be careful out there". I used a resume as an example but sensitive data is shared everywhere - Minimise your data, secure where possible, be hesitant when uploading ID docs, delete it when no longer of use. #identityfraud #breach #resume #cv DropVault #infosec
