It has been a pleasure working with Aaron O'Neill on this virtual restoration project. We are looking forward to the final result. Documenting ancient structures and virtually restoring them is a brilliant way to immerse visitors in the rich history Ireland has to offer.
Rebuilding what once was. I am currently working on this cottage sample project with Aaron O'Neill. The cottage was converted to a digital twin during its rebuild. A mixture of control points and scale constraints ensured accurate results, providing a strong base on which to build our 'virtual restoration' model. Aaron has spent countless hours sculpting perfect imperfections into the Blender model to match the exiting structure. We are now entering the texturing and lighting phase of the project.
