At EirGrid, we're committed to empowering and supporting the next generation of STEM professionals 🔬🙋 Just one of the ways we're investing in the future is by partnering with the Dublin City University STEM Teacher Internship (STInt) programme, a national programme, to provide primary & post primary teachers with paid summer internships in STEM roles. Bridging the gap between theory and practice, STEM teachers bring the practical work experience back into the classroom, providing students with vital insight into possible career pathways in STEM fields 🌍 📽️ In the video below, Olivia Melody shares her experience of the STInt internship in EirGrid, working on the Power System Insights and Research team and the valuable impact the internship has had on her career as an educator 🎓 #STEM #WomenInSTEM #Internship #DCU #Career #CareerDevelopment

The third annual Women in STEM event was held at EirGrid HQ recently 🔬 The event focused on three key themes: promoting female leadership for climate action, addressing the STEM shortage in Ireland, and nurturing female talent in STEM. These themes sparked engaging discussions among our panelists and audience members 🙋 Key takeaways from the event included strategies to encourage more women to take on leadership roles or become subject matter experts, ways to inspire young girls to pursue STEM careers, and methods to sustain their interest throughout their education and beyond. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Donna Kearney, Emily Campion, Marta Val Escudero, and Natali Goncalves for their valuable insights, and to all attendees for their participation. The conversation about opportunities for women in STEM was truly inspiring! 🙌 Power up your STEM career with us ⚡ Explore our wide range of opportunities here: https://lnkd.in/eyTAdubu #WomenInSTEM #STEM #STEMCareer #Recruitment
