We were delighted to attend The British Irish Chamber of Commerce Conference at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre last week. We heard from excellent speakers across multiple sectors, including An Taoiseach Simon Harris TD speaking on the need to co-ordinate infrastructure development across the island of Ireland. Thanks to British Irish Chamber of Commerce for a wonderful event.

The General Scheme of the Registration of Limited Partnerships and Business Names Bill 2024 (the “General Scheme”) was recently published which seeks to repeal and replace both the existing Limited Partnerships Act 1907 (the “1907 Act”) and the Registration of Business Names Act 1963 (the “1963 Act”). Currently there are approximately 3,600 limited partnerships and over 620,000 business names registered with the Registrar of Companies (the “Registrar”), however, many of these are believed to be inactive but cannot be removed due to the Registrar’s insufficient powers under both the 1907 Act and 1963 Act. One of the main proposals contained in the General Scheme is the requirement for both Limited Partnerships and business names to be re-registered every 5 years. Eversheds Sutherland LLP (Ireland) reposted this
We are delighted with our new offices at Marford House Cwmbran – the new home of IG Lintels Acquired back in Dec, the building underwent a full strip out and refurbishment, converting 7,000 sq ft into modern office accommodation. We are pleased with the result of the fit-out, giving the IG Lintels staff a modern and fresh working environment. Eversheds Sutherland LLP (Ireland) acted on the property acquisition. The design team comprised ARCEN and CJ CONSILIUM LIMITED. Davlyn Construction Limited was the principle contractor. Well done to all involved, great team effort 👏 Keystone Group
