As of the latest version of the ArcGIS API for Python (2.4.0) there is still no method for accessing domain information for fields for hosted feature services in ArcGIS Online. The Find Centroid (Analysis) tool consumes credits in ArcGIS Online. You can use the ArcGIS API for Python to mimic this tool without the credit consumption.
