Renault Group has revealed details of its new Renault Espace. Adopting the brand's updated design language for a more contemporary style with more character, the new Espace sports a redesigned front and rear, new light signatures and new body colour. A highlight of the new Espace is driver recognition. A camera in the left-hand A-pillar recognises the driver and activates the user profile where applicable. The user profile includes the following personalised settings: favourite radio and media stations, driving position settings (power controls on the driver's seat and door mirrors), and Google apps via the OpenR link system. The full hybrid E-Tech 200 hp powertrain and multi-mode automatic gearbox deliver a performance/efficiency ratio on a par with the best: WLTP fuel consumption of 4.8 litres/100 km and 108g of CO² per km*, for a range of up to 1,100 kilometres without charging. Bruno Vanel, VP Product Renault brand, said: "Renault Espace, alongside Renault Rafale, embodies our acceleration into the higher segments with a hybrid offer recognized as highly efficient. Adopting Renault's new design language, our 5- or 7-seater family SUV is now in harmony with the rest of the range while retaining its DNA as a long-distance traveller thanks to its full hybrid E-Tech 200 hp powertrain".
