At Grow Remote, we have looked at the data across the board. 📈 We can confirm that steady figures over the last year clearly show that remote work is NOT in decline.* There are lots of interesting points in this RTÉ piece and the accompanying Prime Time report on Ireland's remote work ecosystem (full article below). 👂 It's important we listen to the voices in this RTÉ report, which illustrate the needs of managers and leaders in Irish companies. The various pieces of research mentioned demonstrate how hybrid and remote operating models mostly have a positive impact on employee productivity. 🔧 In order to increase the confidence of managers to maintain excellent communication, foster effective collaboration and build a trustworthy culture, more needs to be done to support upskilling and training for employers.** 💡 What is your experience of remote work so far this quarter? *Source: https://lnkd.in/d9dKm8Mu ** If you would like to avail of Grow Remote's training (fully-funded for a limited time), reach out at eoin@growremote.ie today. Finally removing #Opentowork from my profile. I accepted a job offer last week. I'm staying with Concentrix but moving to another of its high profile client contracts. More to follow soon....but I'm absolutely delighted that 5 colleagues on my current team are also making the move so the dream team stays mostly intact 🎉 Getting redundancy notice is never easy, a lot of emotions surface particularly when you love the job and especially the team you're in. I have to admit I was initially very disappointed and immediately started an onslaught of remote job applications. I have to admit this was scattergun tactics and smacked of desperation. The last time I faced redundancy 23 years ago, I was debt free and childless but this time the picture was a little different. I had to put the scattergun away. It hit absolutely nothing. I used an AI assistant to save, track and assist in tailoring my CV & cover letters for each job but this gave ZERO results. I had subsequently stopped the job search, I still had time but this new opportunity was literally waved in front of me and I was encouraged to apply. I have this amazing friend, in Ireland Kerry people are jokingly regarded as more intelligent than the rest of us but this Kerryman proves it to me every single time. He always reassures me that things will work out and usually not how we plan. I'm very grateful to the many friends, colleagues and amazing people who work with and volunteer for Grow Remote, who have offered incredible support & wisdom.

Grow Remote invites media representatives to cover the findings of its analysis on the new Eurofound "Quality of Life in the EU 2024" survey, including evidence of 350,000 office jobs which could be done remotely. Making even a third of these roles fully remote could boost local economies around Ireland by an estimated €150,000,000 and drastically reduce CO2 emissions. Full blog post: https://buff.ly/4gYfbEx

Our research has uncovered a massive untapped opportunity behind the finding that over 350,000 office jobs in Ireland could be done remotely. If just 100,000 of these jobs were transitioned to remote, we've estimated the social, economic and environmental impact: 💰 €150m injected into local communities 💪 10,000 extra volunteers in local communities 🪴 Offsetting CO2 emissions equivalent to 700,000 Dublin-London flights per year Read more about it here: https://lnkd.in/eAWmUEXF
