Last week, H+K team members had the opportunity to participate in the Ronald McDonald House Charities Culinary Hearts program. This program takes place in the House located in downtown Chicago and supports 80 families/day at Lurie Children's Hospital, Northwestern University Hospital, and other downtown pediatric clinics. In Culinary Hearts, volunteer groups provide a donation and prepare meals alongside the House chef. The chef creates daily menus, purchases all ingredients, and provides volunteers with hands-on instruction to create delicious, healthy meals for children and their families. Under the guidance of Chef A'Nyssa, the team prepared and served garden salad, katsu chicken, katsu zucchini, white rice, roasted vegetables, and chocolate chip cookies. It was a fun and rewarding night for all, and we look forward to returning for another event!
