This Tuesday morning occupiers from across our portfolio gathered in 1WML Townhall for our first Occupier Sustainability Breakfast event. With over 20 companies in attendance, it is obvious that sustainability is now on agendas and as landlord we can play an important role in assisting our occupiers on their journey.
The event commenced with updates on our own ESG strategy and an engaging opening session facilitated by The Sustainable Life School.
Laura Heuston from SustainabilityWorks Ireland then gave an informative presentation on the future of ESG reporting and preparing for the CSRD which was followed by Kate Sheridan and therese coveney who provided everyone with a thought-provoking overview of the importance of true diversity and inclusion within the workplace and how they are driving change through their social enterprise -The Together Academy which we are proud to be partnering with.
We finished with a panel discussion, chaired by our Sustainability Executive Hannah O Keeffe, and featuring Clare O'Reilly from Core, Robbie McGrath from Cushman & Wakefield Ireland and Nathalie Pavone from The Sustainable Life School, who all shared insights into their successes and challenges of integrating sustainability initiatives into the workplace, how client discussions are emerging around sustainability, and the importance of upskilling employees and wider team members on ESG to ensure long term sustainable change across their businesses.
The amazing breakfast was provided by Tang who are an occupier of ours in Cumberland Place.
