About us
Welcome to the official profile for Irish Distillers. Irish Distillers is the producer of some of the world’s most well-known and successful Irish whiskeys and one of Ireland’s leading supplier of spirits and wines. Led by Jameson, our brands are driving the success of Irish whiskey globally and are exported to over 130+ markets around the world, with many of those experiencing double or triple digit growth. Jameson is the world’s fastest-growing Irish whiskey, recording sales of more than 10 million cases in 2022. Formed in 1966, Irish Distillers was born when a merger took place between John Power & Son, John Jameson & Son and Cork Distilleries Company. In 1988, Irish Distillers joined Pernod Ricard, gaining access to unprecedented levels of investment and an extensive global distribution network. Since 2012, we have invested over €250m to double our production and bottling capacity to meet global demand for our products. Our portfolio of whiskeys is produced at Midleton Distillery, Co. Cork, where we push the boundaries of Irish whiskey production. Whether igniting passion for Irish whiskey with iconic brands such as Redbreast Single Pot Still and Powers, or defining the pinnacle of Irish whiskey with our Midleton Very Rare expressions, innovation is at the heart of everything we do. Today, we employ over 800 people across our operations in Cork, Dublin and Belfast. You must be of legal drinking age to follow us. Do not forward to anyone under the legal purchase age. Any user comments which condone or promote irresponsible or dangerous drinking will be removed. Please enjoy our products responsibly.

We’re excited to share that Irish Distillers is partnering with Maynooth University on a two-year pilot research project to support regenerative farming practices within the tillage sector. This collaborative project will leverage advanced robotics and sensing technologies to create a regenerative agriculture platform that prioritises efficiency, biodiversity, and soil health. We are delighted to partner with Maynooth University on this initiative as they are leaders in robotics and sustainable agriculture research, with an on-campus Robot Farm and Sustainability Research Station. Through this partnership, a dedicated research team at Maynooth University will develop autonomous mobile farming robots equipped with sensing systems and vertical solar panels to monitor and optimise crop growth. The goal is to optimise yield and resource efficiency while creating a resilient agricultural ecosystem that minimises environmental impact and supports regenerative farming practices within the tillage sector. Today, we’re joining industry, government, and academic stakeholders for a workshop hosted by Maynooth University, focusing on emerging solutions in sustainable agriculture and energy. Driven by shared values, this partnership is committed to building a future where technology and agriculture come together to enhance environmental stewardship. Erin Grant is Craft Ambassador at our Jameson Distillery in Bow St Dublin. Starting as a Brand Ambassador, Erin’s eagerness to learn and her passion for learning about the craft of whiskey-making led her to her current role. The highlight of Erin’s career was visiting our colleagues in Pernod Ricard Philippines, where she was involved in training bartenders and brand ambassadors as part of the ‘Jameson Distillery on tour’ market activation. This allowed Erin to connect with different cultures, broaden her horizons and learn some Tagalog, one of the main Filipino languages.
