🎉The Irish Funds Transition Year Financial Literacy Programme is back for the 2024/2025 school year, and kicked off this week at Cashel Community School. We are excited to continue on our work last year bringing the programme to over 600 students in 18 schools across 10 counties with Deloitte proudly sponsoring the programme for the second year in a row. 🤝 Eibhlin Johnston, along with Aislinn O'Keeffe and Andrew Downey CAMS from Waystone, delivered the session to 25 students. They covered key topics such as introductions to savings and investments, the importance of pensions, and how to plan for the future. Waystone provided fantastic insights into the #InvestmentFunds and #AssetManagement industry in Ireland, linking the day's discussions to real-world financial applications. The students also got an opportunity to create their very own Financial Times Schools Portfolio! Now, it's time for them to track the markets over the coming weeks and see how their investments perform. 🙌Looking forward to seeing how this knowledge will empower these future financial leaders! #IrishFunds #TYProgramme #FinancialLiteracy #Learning

📢 Ireland’s funds and asset management industry contributes nearly €1 billion in taxes and employs 20,000 people, with almost half of those jobs outside Dublin. The recognition in the #Budget2025 is welcome, but urgent action is needed to keep Ireland #competitive. We must boost retail participation, close the gap in #privatemarket investments, and #modernise our regulatory environment. Now is the time to take bold steps to secure the #future for our citizens, preserve and #grow a champion national industry and ensure Ireland thrives in the #evolving global economy. 🗞 Read more in our Chief Executive's latest op-ed in Business Post: https://lnkd.in/ePEVaNME Pat Lardner #IrishFunds #Indecon #Action
