🖤 We were deeply saddened to learn of Philip Dempsey’s passing on Saturday morning.
The reaction from friends, colleagues, and people from every part of the wider industry speaks volumes about Phil, and the impact he had on every person he met.
He possessed many special qualities, demonstrated positivity in every encounter, and always saw possibility and opportunity in his unique, fun-loving way.
Phil was consistently generous with both his time and support for Irish Funds, wider industry and charitable initiatives. He was proud of what he did, and our industry, and was an impactful and engaging presence whether at home or when travelling abroad.
Every time you met Phil, you always came away feeling better for it. Even if you hadn’t seen Phil for some time or had only just met him for the first time, you came away from that interaction feeling like you had known him all of your life. The connection was immediate with Phil.
We often talk about an intangible spirit which makes our #community and industry in Ireland special. Well, Philip Dempsey was the embodiment of that.
We are very grateful for having known him and sharing the sadness that he left far too soon.
We extend our deepest condolences to his wife Michelle, children Kate, Aoife, Matthew and Conor and his wider family and friends.
May he rest in peace.
