Today, we would like to congratulate the students from the Energy Systems Engineering programme who presented posters on their final projects. As part of the IRUSE research group this year, Conor O’Mahoney presented a renewable energy storage plan for Inis Mór, Niall McGrath developed a machine learning model for predictive maintenance in photovoltaic systems, and Jack Flannery created an energy performance index rating system for a MedTech company. Well done!

Yesterday, Paulo Lissa presented insights on collaboration in proposal writing during the Horizon Europe Information Session at the University of Galway. As part of the RECON project - Under the ENLIGHT European University network, the IRUSE research group collaborates with international partners in writing proposals. In his presentation, "Proposals to Projects: Insights from International Collaborations", Paulo discussed the preparation phase, writing process, organisation of contributions from consortium members, and networking.
