We are delighted to have been a part of this journey, starting in 2016 when Ireland was selected to host the IGC Congress. Assisting in the preparation of the bid and working alongside the brilliant local organising committee for the past 8 years has been a true privilege. It was fantastic to welcome so many international delegates to Dublin, where the Congress showcased Ireland’s rich geographical expertise and warm hospitality. The programme was filled with insightful sessions, local public events, tours across Ireland, and numerous social networking opportunities. With 30 parallel sessions, over 2,000 talks, more than 400 poster presentations, 92 countries were represented! A huge congratulations to Professors Niamh Moore-Cherry, Frances Fahy, and the entire organising committee for their outstanding leadership. It has been an absolute pleasure to collaborate on this amazing journey. We are incredibly proud to have played a role in “Celebrating a World of Difference” and look forward to seeing the positive impact of IGC2024 on geography, society, and planet. #IGC2024DUB #MeetinIreland #KeynotePCO #Geography #InternationalCongress #ImpactandLegacy
