About us

My name is Michael Sheludko, I’m a Ukrainian digital marketer, who stands for his people and wants to develop the Ukrainian school of marketing. Over a decade-plus career in marketing, plus nearly the same period of time in journalism and public relations, I decided to codify and share my experiences with a global audience. So, why is the blog called "Irish Marketing"? Besides my personal attraction to the Emerald Isle, its vigorous people and charming culture, there are some meaningful reasons too. Metaphorically, "Irish marketing" implies different associations depending on the context and purpose of the metaphor. Here are some possible interpretations on which I base my approach. 1. Clever and Charming Marketing. "Irish marketing" might be used to suggest marketing that is clever, charming, and engaging, drawing upon the stereotype of Irish people being witty and charismatic. 2. Lucky Marketing. It could imply that the marketing strategy has been remarkably successful or fortunate, drawing on the idea of the "luck of the Irish." 3. Warm and Friendly Marketing. This interpretation might emphasize marketing efforts that are welcoming, hospitable, and customer-centric, reflecting the reputation of Irish hospitality. 4. Creative Storytelling. "Irish marketing" could be used to describe marketing campaigns that involve storytelling, folklore, or a rich narrative, reflecting Ireland's tradition of storytelling and folklore. 5. Innovative and Unique Marketing. It suggests marketing that stands out from the crowd, as Irish culture often has a unique and distinct identity. 6. Marketing with an International Appeal. Given Ireland's global presence and diaspora, "Irish marketing" could imply marketing strategies that have international reach and resonance. 7. Active, strong, assertive marketing. It is like the character of an Irishman who knows how to stand up for himself, has the strength to defend his values and is able to outperform competitors in the toughest race.
