An Coimisiún Toghcháin, Ireland’s independent electoral commission has launched a new online tool for voters to find their constituency for the forthcoming general election. The online map allows users to simply enter their Eircode or address to be informed which of the 43 constituencies they are in, and how many TDs they will be electing to the 34th Dáil in this year’s General Election. Congratulations to Coláiste De Lacy students for winning this year's EU Debate Competition organised by Meath County Council Library Service. Coláiste De Lacy students delivered a remarkable performance opposing the motion that ‘The EU has brought peace and prosperity to Europe’, overcoming challenges from Eureka Secondary School in a fiercely contested final. Meath County Council Elected Members adopt the Council Corporate Plan. The corporate plan serves as the council’s strategic framework for action over the duration of the current council from 2024 to 2029. Meath County Council aims to ‘Make Meath Even Better’. Fantastic news this week as over €4,000,000 in funding has been allocated to sporting facilities across Meath, through the Large Scale Sport Infrastructure Fund (LSIF) 2024. These facilities provide excellent amenities to their communities and are vital in the continued sporting growth in the county.
