It was great to visit Belfast City to view the recently refurbished voco® Belfast, thanks to Mark Moynihan & Danielle McGinley for their wonderful hospitality. The Voco Belfast has meeting facilities for up to 120 people and is located in the heart of the city, the décor is colourful and bright. The bedrooms are ideal for the corporate guest with good working space, the ceilings are high which give a lovely spacious feeling. We then travelled on to Titanic Belfast to view the Titanic Suite for our clients Gala dinner which will take place next March for 650 people. Jeff and Stuart attended the SITE Ireland | Society for Incentive Travel Excellence Summer Soirée Event last week which took place in the The K Club. The ‘K-Chella’ event had a 130 #eventprofs in attendance and offered an afternoon of different activities, entertainment, delicious food and great networking with other SITE members and guests. #conferences #events #incentives

On a recent visit to Cork, Stuart made a trip to visit the Midleton Distillery, which is about a 20 minute drive from Cork City and it is located in the quaint town of Midleton. The original Old Distillery was in production for 150 years and was founded in the early 19th Century by the Murphy Brothers, before a new adjacent distillery complex was built in 1975. The new complex is Irelands largest Whiskey Distillery and produces some 24 million bottles of whiskey each year. It is the home to seven iconic brands – Jameson, Redbreast, Powers, Midleton Very Rare, The Spot Whiskeys, Method and Madness and Knappogue Castle. A visit here begins with an informative audio-visual presentation before being guided through the production of Irish Whiskey and the old workings of the distillery. These old workings include the World's largest Pot Still, a 150 year old Water wheel which would have generated electricity for the site and stops at the original Malting Houses, Corn Stores and Still Houses. Discover the differences between Single Pot Still Distillation and Continuous Distillation and finish with a whiskey tasting in one of the original storage warehouses. It was a very interesting tour from start to finish, I would highly recommend a visit on your next visit to Cork. #Conferences #Events #Incentives

Hotel Pick of the Week – 5-star – Cashel Palace Hotel This week Michelle & Jeff stayed in the Cashel Palace Hotel, a luxury 5* property located in Co. Tipperary to celebrate a significant birthday, they would both rate the property as one of the best hotels in Ireland. Adriaan, Karen and the team were so welcoming and the entire stay was made memorable from start to finish. The manor house dates back to 1732, offering views of the iconic Rock of Cashel. The hotel is a proud member of the Relais & Chateaux and offers a superb range of culinary options. They dined in Mikey Ryan’s Bar & Kitchen on the 1st night which is a gastropub offering an excellent menu choice where the focus is on seasonal ingredients of high quality, soured from local farmers and artisan producers. They visited the Rock of Cashel, Fethard Horse museum and Coolmore Stud which are wonderful visitor attractions nearby. The highlight of the trip was dining in The Bishop’s Buttery, a Michelin Star Restaurant which delighted the palate from start to finish. Everything from the impeccable service to the wines and outstanding food was an experience to remember. They would highly recommend the Cashel Palace Hotel as a must go to location for any incentives, meetings and celebratory events. Following on from a very successful charity lunch event in early May we were back again in the Dublin Royal Convention Centre. On this occasion we event managed the international RIWC 24 congress (Retina International World Congress) where up to 400 delegates attended from all over the world. This multi day event included an offsite dinner in the @GuinessStorehouse and working with Sheil Entertainment Agency who provided the entertainment at both locations. #conferences #events #incentives
