A great day was had at the ITOA Inbound Tourism Operators Association Ireland Workshop in Castleknock Hotel today! It was wonderful to have the opportunity to meet some new people, reconnect with others I often only meet at these events, and to put a face to the names who I'm often emailing over and back with! I was also delighted to catch up with Emma O'Brien from Mount Congreve Gardens and Waterford Treasures. Between the two of us, Waterford as a destination was promoted all around the room today!

Mount Congreve Memory Book 📕 – Open Call for Stories For generations, Mount Congreve has been more than just a grand estate—it has been a home, a workplace, and a community. The gardens, the big house, the nursery, and the farm were all brought to life by the hands and hearts of those who worked here. From the early mornings in the gardens to the bustling activity of the big house, every path and passage holds a story. Did you or a family member work at Mount Congreve? Maybe you cycled in from Kilmeaden or caught a lift from further afield. Did you spend your days tending the plants in the walled garden or the nursery, caring for the horses or cattle, or setting the great house in order. Whether you worked under the watchful eye of Mr. Congreve himself, alongside legendary gardeners, or with the close-knit house team, we want to hear your stories. As part of a special project, we are compiling a Memory Book to honour the voices and experiences of those who made Mount Congreve. These memories will not only be preserved for future generations but also brought to life in the Stables Café, where a selection of stories will be printed on canvas and displayed as a tribute to the people behind the place. We invite you to share your recollections—whether it’s a fond memory, a funny story, or a glimpse into daily life at the estate.
