🌟 Exciting News 🌟 We’re thrilled to kick off this year’s Food Academy Programme in partnership with the Local Enterprise Offices. Recently we welcomed our new producers at the annual conference. This induction day was a fantastic opportunity for them to connect with fellow producers and industry experts from across the country. Over the coming months, participants in the Food Academy programme will undergo training in areas such as branding, sales, marketing, social media, finance, and food safety and quality. The programme features immersive workshops, enabling producers to apply their learnings practically before progressing to the next topic. In addition, participants will benefit from one-on-one mentoring with experts from the food and retail sectors, including Musgrave personnel, who will support them in overcoming business challenges. This mentorship empowers local food and drink producers by enhancing their skills, helping them thrive in today’s competitive market. We look forward to seeing these innovative products on SuperValu shelves next year.🙌 Food Academy is a unique food and drink business development programme between SuperValu and the Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs). To mark World Menopause Day, we had the privilege of hosting an insightful 'Let's Talk Menopause' webinar, in partnership with Menopause Network. A big thank you to our special guest, Sallyanne Brady, founder of The Irish Menopause, for sharing her vast knowledge on this important topic and helping us better understand the challenges and realities of perimenopause and menopause. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Lorraine Shanahan, one of our colleagues, for bravely sharing her personal menopause journey and what being part of our organisation's Menopause Network means to her. This event was a great opportunity for colleagues to gain knowledge on this important topic and understand how to be better allies for those experiencing menopause, both in their personal lives and in the workplace. We are dedicated to fostering inclusion and diversity. Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), including the Menopause Network, are important in creating a more inclusive Musgrave. Together, we can create a workplace and community where everyone feels valued, respected and included. 🤝 #WorldMenopauseDay #MenopauseInTheWorkplace #LifeAtMusgrave, #Musgrave Matt O'Callaghan Siobháin Scanlon Eileen Biggs Liz Larkin

We recently held an incredible Family Fun Day at the Tramore Road Cork Depot, and it was a huge success! With an impressive turnout of 248 adults and 266 children, the event was packed with fun and excitement. 🎉 A special mention to Eimear Walsh, Pat Murray, Catherine O’Brien on the organising committee, the amazing Cork Depot Team for making this event a true team effort, and the great photography from Gordon Adair, who captured the spirit of the day beautifully. 📸 Some highlights of the day included a warehouse tour featuring picking and fork demonstrations, a fun area with bouncy castles, a carousel, an animal roadshow, and Don Bloss’ popular Batman bike. There were interactive displays where kids explored forklifts, boogies, and trucks, as well as a family BBQ serving delicious SuperValu and Centra Own Brand goodies and treats like Moo'd Ice and Happy Pear Fruit Bites. 🙌 Thank you to everyone who attended and made this day unforgettable. 🌟 #Musgrave #CorkDepot #FamilyFunDay #Community

🌟 Exciting News 🌟 We are delighted to share that Musgrave has been shortlisted for the Lean Business Ireland Awards 2024 in two key categories: 🏆 Digital Innovation & Transformation for our Winning Store Operating Model (WSOM) and Perfect Order Programme (POP). 🏆 Sustainability for our Sustainability Fund and energy reduction initiatives. The Lean Business Ireland Awards recognise and celebrate excellence in lean practices across a range of industries. Digital Innovation & Transformation: In 2023, we launched the WSOM and POP programmes across 700+ SuperValu and Centra stores, addressing key challenges such as labour availability, rising costs, and the cost of living. Already, WSOM has achieved 30% of its targets, driving efficiency and customer value with Lean tools. The ongoing digital innovation in ordering technology is improving in-store availability across the board. Sustainability: Our €25 million Sustainability Fund, launched in 2022, is helping stores decarbonise, with a goal of net zero carbon by 2040. So far, we’ve achieved a 12% carbon reduction, with 30% of SuperValu stores and 10% of Centra stores equipped with solar PV systems by the end of 2023. We’re planning 30 more installations in 2024, and aim for 50 each year from 2025 to 2030. We are incredibly proud of these achievements and look forward to continuing our journey towards innovation and sustainability. Thank you to our dedicated team in Musgrave, our retail partners in SuperValu and Centra, their teams in store and our suppliers for making this possible. 👏 #LeanBusinessIreland #LeanAwards2024 #DigitalInnovation #Sustainability #Musgrave #WSOM #POP #NetZero Michael Twohig Luke Hanlon CDir Daniel Murphy Owen Keogh Ross Kerrigan Ronan Brannigan Raymond Foley Niall Frawley Alvin Deasy Cian Moyles Darragh Cullinane Dan Curtin Cormac Dawson Don Lynch
