Recent Event: 'The correct application of “Upgrade” Pressure Relieving Surfaces We would like to thank Caroline Dowling, Tissue Viability CNS in University Hospital Kerry, and her fantastic colleagues for their participation in the O'Flynn Medical workshop where we discussed the different types of “Upgrade” surfaces and the most appropriate application of same to achieve the best patient outcomes. The training was delivered by Hugh Sheehan (Product Expert) and Pat McCluskey (ANP in Tissue Viability) from O’Flynn Medical. The benefits and correct application of Low Air Loss Mattresses, True Low Air Loss Mattresses, Rotational Mattresses, ICU/Prone Mattresses and the Air Fluidised Bed were all discussed.
