A sticky note, written by her, for herself. “Not to fear losing but to see the opportunity to fight to win” 👊 Annalise Murphy ultimately emerged from the heartbreak of being agonisingly close at London 2012 as a stronger person and better sailor, as evidenced by her qualification for Rio 2016 and winning an Olympic Silver medal in the Laser Radial dinghy class 🥈 As Team Ireland celebrates 100 years of participation at the Olympic Games, we take a look back at some magical moments ✨ #TeamIreland | #100Years Irish Sailing

“It’s not just about 2 weeks, it’s the culmination of a 4 year cycle” This morning, the Who Won Sponsorship 2024 event took place at the Aviva Stadium, hosted by Onside and the Marketing Institute Ireland. An impressive panel of speakers revisited the year’s major highlights, including our Paris 2024 Chef de Mission, Gavin Noble, alongside Philip Greene of PTSB and Paula Fahy of RTÉ. They emphasised the importance of sharing the stories behind the athletes. We were thrilled to see our title sponsor, PTSB take home not one but two awards – ‘Who Won Sponsorship 2024’ and the Olympic category. A big congratulations also to our partners, Allianz Ireland, for their well-deserved recognition 🥈 in the ‘Who Won Sponsorship 2024’ 👏 It was great to have Olympic Champion, Rhys McClenaghan on stage 🥇 🗣️ "We've set the new standard for greatness" 👏 #TeamIreland

“Yep, I’ll say it, I’ve had a real glow up. Whether or not you think you’ll make it, go for it anyway. From 24-39 it’s been worth every step” Abi Lyle her debut in dressage at the Paris 2024 Olympics, Ireland’s sole representative in this competition. Even if success isn’t guaranteed, the journey itself is valuable and rewarding. Anything can happen and it’s worth pursuing your goals no matter where you are in life 🥇 we’re feeling inspired Abi 🥹 #TeamIreland Horse Sport Ireland

Looking back to a special moment in Team Ireland’s history. John Treacy’s remarkable journey to his iconic silver medal in the marathon at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, running in the searing Californian heat. Commentated on by the late Jimmy Magee, Treacy’s storied career marked by national titles and international accolades, reached its pinnacle at the 1984 Olympics with his silver medal. #TeamIreland | #100Years Athletics Ireland
