If your workmate takes seriously ill this card will send a text to next of kin who can alert responders to on-going health issues. If you see an elderly person in need of help, or a child lost and confused, if they have this card, it can get them to a place of safety, quickly. Why wouldn't you carry one? Children still seem to be lacking from much of the electioneering conversations. I’m with Whitney Houston - the Children are our future, and we are letting them down. It’s time to change that and play is the vital ingredient that can make such a massive difference to whole communities. I’m proud to spearhead the Association of Play Industries (API) ‘s #PathwayToPlay We are willing and eager to collaborate with any organisations who want to redress the balance and see kids playing out safely in our communities again.

Great advice, nicely documented. ABTA forgot to mention safebuddy codes as a way to mitigate against falling ill, being in an emergency (& getting in touch with next of kin) or from losing your passport, phone or god forbid, your child. We're the perfect accessorisation 😂 😎

Who knew about #checkyourpassportday? Anyway it's very important as so many are getting caught out. Thanks Lee Taylor for pointing it out. Did you also know that about 400,000 #passports get lost every year in the UK. It goes without saying that such an occurence is an emergency for those who lose it - and very often these are younger people and students who need it for their ID etc. It is also a costly experience - not just in monetary terms but in time and administration. We provide a #coding system on labels which means if someone picks up your passport they can contact 3 people by text to say they've found it. And you can be reunited. Emergency over. With the holiday season coming up, why not code your passports? By using a code you keep your personal details private. Today we get to celebrate the inaugural International Day of Play! 🤸 The United Nations General Assembly got together and made the 11th of June the International Day of Play - because they believe (and so do we) that every child can reach their full potential, with the time, space and access to play. 97% of children believe play is important yet one in three do not have the time to play. To change this, children are asking adults and decision-makers to: • Invest in children’s well-being by protecting their right to play. • Provide children with more time and opportunities to play, including in school. • Protect their right to play by creating safe and accessible places to play, including for those with special needs. • Respect their rights to be heard in decisions impacting their right to play. • Support them in developing social skills through play.
