We’re proud to announce that Suir Engineering has committed to set near and long-term company-wide greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions in line with science-based net-zero with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time, and as a responsible business, we recognise the importance of taking meaningful action. By aligning our GHG emission reduction targets with the latest climate science, we are reinforcing our commitment to align with 1.5°C and ensuring that sustainability remains at the core of everything we do. This commitment marks an important first step. Once our targets are defined and agreed internally, we will submit them for validation to the SBTi. Our commitment to SBTi is a critical step in our journey to: - Reduce our carbon footprint across Scopes 1, 2, and 3 - Support our clients and partners in their own sustainability goals - Contribute to global efforts in limiting global warming to 1.5°C - Build a more resilient and sustainable future for all We’re excited to collaborate with our stakeholders as we set and work towards achieving ambitious, science-based targets. The first of many Project Milestones for 2025 ✅ We are delighted to announce the successful energisation of Yellow River Wind Farm, marking a major milestone towards the completion of the project. Yellow River Wind Farm is a 29-Turbine Wind Farm with a capacity of 101MW. Suir Engineering designed & built the 110kV substation, IPP substation, 110/33 kV grid transformer, Commissioning Works and 110kV grid cable installation. The project is equipped with cutting-edge technology, ensuring optimised performance and long-term reliability.
