“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting change.” When it comes to mental health issues, it’s so important to reach out, ask for help and know you’re not a burden, but the next steps are also just as important 👊 As Taylor James, host of the Waffle Shop Podcast says in this episode of our podcast ‘Drive to Thrive’, those difficult conversations need to be followed by new actions and plans put in place to ensure you’re moving in a new, better direction for your mental wellbeing. Did you know the average person checks their phone 96 times a day - that's once every 10 minutes?! With Smartphone addiction playing a significant role in mental health issues like anxiety, stress, and depression, it’s more important than ever to monitor your screentime. By switching to a "dumb phone", you can help cut distractions, lower stress, and improve focus. You’ll spend less time scrolling and more time on what’s actually in front of you, (yes we know that’s harder than it sounds.) It’s about creating balance and using technology more intentionally. Sure, we all love a scroll on social media, but when it becomes the default whenever you’re bored, that is when it becomes a problem. Read the full article on our website and learn more about the Pitstop App and how it can help you set better habits below. https://lnkd.in/duQXJcZV

Meet Craig 🤝 In his words: “Busy executive. Entrepreneur. Tired, blamed it on too busy mental exhaustion etc. Running 2 companies. 59... Hmm is this what getting old feels like? I have type II Diabetes so do quarterly blood work but Testosterone is not a standard test. I ASKED my physician for a test (Men need to take more responsibility for their health physical as well as mental and not just suck it up or write it off etc.) Outcome is I have topical cream, been using for 3 months and feel much better and morelike myself. ALL because of the promoting and taking a Pitstop for myself as well as reading the resource about Testosterone in the app. Sounds touchy feely, but taking care of myself is also helping those around me. Better husband, better dad, better boss. Thanks Pitstop!” Huge thanks to Craig Dickens for sharing this and being so transparent about his struggles with something that’s still such a taboo subject. Take the leap like Craig and enjoy a 7 day free trial of our app below https://lnkd.in/dwC9-93r #testosterone #wellbeing #menshealth #selfdevelopment

Did you know that 1/3rd of your life is spent at work? Another 3rd is spent sleeping, so once it’s all added up, it doesn’t leave much time for everything else. It can be easy to think that spending less time at work and focusing on other things can automatically bring satisfaction, but for men particularly, having a sense of purpose and progression is so important to overall wellbeing. With it being International Week of Happiness at Work this week, here’s some of our top tips for staying happy at work. - Build positive relationships with your colleagues Take time to talk with others about their lives and interests. Try to find someone who can mentor you or offer to mentor someone.
 - Create a proper work life balance and set boundaries Don’t skip on taking time off, ensure you’re taking breaks and not overworking. It’s important to recognise rest can be just as productive.
 - Focus on personal growth Set tasks that align with your personal and career goals, this will give you something to work towards. Don’t be afraid to learn new skills and continue to learn but also reflect on how far you have come. Improve further on your personal and career growth with our app, take the 7 day free trial below! https://lnkd.in/dtfYNB63 #personaldevelopment #menshealth #happinessatworkweek

Struggling to build new habits? Prioritising smaller, incremental changes, Atomic Habits by James Clear gives you practical strategies for breaking old, bad habits and replacing them with better ones. There’s a reason it’s one of our most popular bite sized content pieces in our app 📚 Here’s some top tips from the book to help you in your journey to grow. * Make your new habit so simple that it takes just two minutes to do. For example, if you want to start exercising, begin by doing just two minutes of a workout. Starting small reduces friction and resistance, making it easier to stick to the habit.
 * Instead of setting a goal like "I want to run a marathon," focus on becoming the type of person who runs regularly: "I am a runner.” Shifting your identity helps you internalise the habit as part of who you are, not just something you do.
 * Attach a new habit to an existing habit (habit stacking). For example, "After I brush my teeth, I will meditate for one minute." Leveraging existing routines makes it easier to remember and execute new habits. * Simplify your habits by reducing the number of steps or effort required. For example, if you want to eat healthier, prepare healthy snacks in advance. By lowering the barrier to action, you increase the likelihood that you will stick with the habit.
 * Use a habit tracker or a simple calendar to mark each day you complete the habit. Visual tracking creates a satisfying sense of progress and helps maintain motivation. * If you miss a day, get back on track immediately. The goal is not to be perfect but to be consistent. Missing once is an accident, but missing twice is the start of a new habit (or lack thereof). Which of these will you be adding into your new routine? Download our app and get help in building your new habits below https://lnkd.in/dtfYNB63 #atomichabits #newhabits
