Our Crossmore Wind Farm construction team are celebrating another major milestone after the successful delivery of the grid transformer to the 38 kV substation site in County Clare. The transformer will enable the transmission of renewable energy from our 25.2 MW wind farm. Our Grid contracting partner, Mainline, transported the 44-tonne unit via their Specialist Haulier partner, James Quinn Transport from Dublin Port Company, travelling at a reduced speed for safety on the 270-kilometer journey which lasted 5 hours. In the meantime, with all turbine components delivered to site, six of the seven towers have been erected and blade installation is underway. Energia Renewables have partnered with ENERCON to supply seven 4.2 MW turbines with a tip height of 126.5m. Once operational, the 25.2 MW site will generate enough green electricity to power around 14,500 homes. We’ve created a construction gallery which you can view on our project website: https://lnkd.in/eKfp-cPC #JamesQuinnTransport #onshorewind #substation #grid Clare County Council, Wills Bros Group

Ireland is making significant strides towards a sustainable energy future, and we continue to be part of the transition. As our Chief Development Officer Garrett Donnellan details in his latest piece in Irish Independent and Business News, increasing our power generation from renewables to meet the rapidly growing demand for clean energy is one of our key objectives. This is crucial for achieving our 2030 climate targets and beyond. Read the full piece and discover more about our involvement in the energy transition at the link below. #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #EnergyTransition

Our Bright Sparks at Energia Group have graduated from their Graduate Programmes. We recently held a graduation ceremony to celebrate their accomplishments. We heard from each of them from disciplines across Finance, Customer Solutions, ESG, Trading, and T&I on how they got to the graduate programme and their career journey so far. Stephen Ferris, former Ulster and Ireland rugby player also popped into the ceremony as a special guest to congratulate the graduates and share some advice for the next step in their careers. A big thanks to People Playbook for facilitating a Personal Development Plan to help our grads improve their skills and knowledge which will be vital in their #career. We are proud of all they have achieved and are pleased to announce that we have just recently welcomed our new cohort of graduates. #BrightSparks #EnergiaGroup #Graduate #GradProgramme Congratulations to Oisín McElduff Ruairí O'Dea Emma Knox Lucy McCullough Emma Deegan Lukas Gazdik Rachel Martin James Madden Dylan Costello David Terceño Quintana!

We're delighted to celebrate inclusion and sports with our #RugbyForAll activation. Looking forward to what's coming next! #ThinkOfThePossibilities
The mixed abilities tag rugby blitz we took part in last Sunday at MU Barnhall RFC definitely qualifies as a highlight of our #RugbyForAll initiative. Seeing all the teams get involved on the pitch and showcase great sportsmanship and passion match after match really made us #ThinkOfThePossibilities, as we look forward to what's coming next. Thank you to Leinster Rugby, Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) and Hugo Keenan for joining us, and for making the day even more special.

We always strive to support charities and community organisations through our volunteering activities, Greener Possibilities fund, and Helping Hands initiatives. Here's how we got involved this past month: 🥣 We volunteered with FoodCloud, part of our #GreenerPossibilities fund, at their Tallaght warehouse in Dublin, helping them with their mission to reduce food waste through surplus redistribution. 🌿 We joined #GrowNI (another one of our #GreenerPossibilities charities) at their family fun day, offering support throughout the event. 🤝 Through #HelpingHands, we issued a donation to Antrim Rovers FC allowing coaching staff to purchase all-new strips. Keep an eye out to find out more about our involvement with ROI and NI communities! #SDGs #CommunityFocused #SustainableCommunities

We want to celebrate #InternationalDayOfCharity by thanking all the charities and volunteers that work with us on a daily basis, offering their time and resources to support local communities. Looking forward to keep working together.

Congratulations to Vårgrønn on being awarded a CfD in AR6 for their 400 MW floating wind project Green Volt. We look forward to seeing the project progress and to working with Vårgrønn on our own joint offshore ambitions In Ireland #WindEnergy #OffshoreWind #Renewables #ClimateAction #sdgs
Vårgrønn is thrilled to announce that together with Flotation Energy, we have been awarded a UK Government Contract for Difference for our project Green Volt, the first commercial scale floating offshore wind project in Europe. What does Green Volt mean for the offshore wind industry and the UK? ▪ The project is a catalyst for the creation of a robust floating wind supply chain in the UK. It is an essential steppingstone from current small-scale projects to gigawatt-size developments. ▪ It represents an important leap towards the 5GW floating offshore wind target the UK has set for 2030. The benefits of Green Volt will be felt beyond the UK, being a catalyst for the development of floating wind elsewhere in Europe. https://lnkd.in/dUNwaGE4
