Today is World Menopause Day, and it marks one year since the Civil Service Menopause in the Workplace Policy Framework was launched. To date, 83% of government departments have developed and implemented their own Menopause in the Workplace policy. The Civil Service Employee Assistance Service (CSEAS) developed Guidance on Understanding and Improving Menopause Support in the Workplace to assist both managers and employees in fostering an inclusive environment where employees can openly and comfortably engage in discussion about menopause and its impact on them. The Department launched its own menopause policy on 1 July this year, which was developed by a cross-departmental working group. Today is World Menopause Day! This year’s theme is “Cardiovascular Health”, emphasising the vital connection between menopause and heart health. As women experience menopause, their risk of cardiovascular disease increases, making it crucial to raise awareness and encourage women to prioritise their heart health during and after this transition. At Genesys, we’re thrilled to have been awarded the Menopause Workplace Excellence Award last week. This award recognises our efforts to foster a supportive and inclusive environment. We’re proud to create spaces where open conversations about menopause are encouraged and provide resources to those who need them.
