As Menopause Awareness Month comes to a close, we're taking a moment to look back at the inspiring highlights from the Menopause Workplace Excellence Awards! It was an honour to celebrate organisations that champion menopause awareness and employee well-being. Many thanks to all those involved and to everyone who joined us on the night to recognise the incredible strides being made here in Ireland. October may soon be over, but we urge you all to continue doing the work—breaking stigma, fostering understanding, and making sure peri/menopausal women feel supported inside and outside of the workplace. We had so much fun enjoying Standard Life’s ‘Second Life’ event, a celebration of the journey to and through retirement, at the Clanree Hotel on October 23rd. Standard Life embraces the belief that retirement is not the end, but the beginning of something new – a Second Life. Second Life is about supporting people to feel confident in their choices, empowering them to explore new opportunities, embrace fresh adventures, and unlock their full potential. We love this message!! Pictured here (L-R) are: Colleen Rock, Menopause Hub Academy Corporate Education Advisor Grainne Schmitz, Brian Mooney, Sonya Lennon, and Alan McCarthy. Standard Life Ireland

Today is World Menopause Day, and it marks one year since the Civil Service Menopause in the Workplace Policy Framework was launched. To date, 83% of government departments have developed and implemented their own Menopause in the Workplace policy. The Civil Service Employee Assistance Service (CSEAS) developed Guidance on Understanding and Improving Menopause Support in the Workplace to assist both managers and employees in fostering an inclusive environment where employees can openly and comfortably engage in discussion about menopause and its impact on them. The Department launched its own menopause policy on 1 July this year, which was developed by a cross-departmental working group. Global Workplace & Culture Manager @ Genesys Proud Principal Partner of Connacht Women’s & Mens Squad.
Today is World Menopause Day! This year’s theme is “Cardiovascular Health”, emphasising the vital connection between menopause and heart health. As women experience menopause, their risk of cardiovascular disease increases, making it crucial to raise awareness and encourage women to prioritise their heart health during and after this transition. At Genesys, we’re thrilled to have been awarded the Menopause Workplace Excellence Award last week. This award recognises our efforts to foster a supportive and inclusive environment. We’re proud to create spaces where open conversations about menopause are encouraged and provide resources to those who need them. If you're in Ireland, check out the Menopause Hub, an excellent resource for personalised menopause care. For Irish Life Health members, the Women’s Health Programme offers fantastic services to support women’s health, including menopause care and cardiovascular health. Remember, health—especially heart health—matters at every stage of life. #WorldMenopauseDay #MenopauseMatters #CardiovascularHealth #SupportMatters #WomensHealth #MenopauseAwareness
