  • Christmas Cheer in Every Pack! Brewing exceptional beers is a labour of love—balancing creativity, quality, and tradition. It’s not always easy, but it’s what sets independent brewers apart. At The White Hag, we’re dedicated to crafting beers that bring people together and make every occasion memorable. This holiday season, we’re thrilled to share our White Hag Christmas Packs—featuring a mix of some of our favourite beers of the year alongside festive seasonal ales. These packs are a celebration of the diverse and exciting flavours that independent breweries like ours work so hard to create. It’s a proud moment for us to see our Christmas Packs available in some of Ireland’s most recognised and supportive retail partners: 🍻 Dunnes Stores 🍻 O'Briens Wines 🍻 Molloys Liquor Stores 🍻 a bunch of great independent retailers including: Select Fresh The Good Food Market (Smithfield, Grand Canal & Stepaside) Select Carry Out (Ferrybank, Mitchelstown) Select SuperValu (Whitesides, McInernarys, Petitts, Quish, Ryans, Redmonds) Select Martin's Off-Licence (Dublin) This is more than just beer—it’s a testament to the collaboration and support from these retailers who help bring independent craft beer to more customers across the country. Their commitment to championing Irish brewing is something we’re deeply grateful for. If you’re looking for the perfect gift or a festive treat for yourself, our Christmas Packs are waiting for you. Let’s make this season extra hoppy! #IndependentBrewing #TheWhiteHag #CraftBeerIreland #HoppyHolidays #ChristmasCheers #Christmas

  • Partner Appreciation post! Brewing one-off seasonal & special beers is is not easy or lucrative, but it's what sets us aside as independent brewers who focus on delivering great beer experiences with better flavours and more interesting styles. Across our industry we experiment, innovate and at times come together to produce beers we appreciate that push boundaries of what can be expected. There is a small but growing audience of consumers who live for this and support our industry to ensure the tradition continues. It's not by any means easy for small independent and convenience stores to support one off and seasonal beers, but traditionally it's been the only route to the consumer markets for breweries. We have had great support from the Indie convenience and off-licence channels in Ireland as we've grown our range over the years, and we wouldn't be here without them. Over the past 12 months we worked closely with our retail partners in Lidl Ireland to develop a calendar of one-off releases. This culminates over the Halloween period in the release of our 'Undead Inside' Forest Fruit ale. No one would have believed 5 years ago that a national multiple of scale would have been able to release three individual one-off beers, one after another, in 2 months. However with the confidence of the buying team at Lidl, our third special release beer in that short period of time has just hit the shelves. Not only does it show confidence and support for the quality and innovation happening in Irish breweries right now, but also an appreciation for the growing customer base for really great independent craft beer amongst Irish shoppers. We have to give credit where is due to Cormac Griffin and Neil Curran for kicking off this initiative over 12 months ago, and to Fiona Carney, Rebecca Buchanan and Anna Ferguson for executing it. The future of independent beer in Ireland depends on brave and confident decisions like this. Bravo. #lidl #craftbeer #innovation #beer #halloween #retail #brewing

We had one of those amazing days with friends yesterday, where you reap the rewards of years of hard work and partnership. The 10th birthday celebrations of The Dough bros in Galway, with a wide circle of friends and collaborators was a day to behold. Lots of great feedback on the Birthday IPA we brought along, in addition to our stout, session IPA and Lager offerings. Amazing pizza, oysters, kombucha, more pizza, lobster rolls, deep fried lasagne (!) and of course great beers! We're very proud of our partners in Galway for over 7 years, and we look forward to growing the partnership in the next 10 years of Dough Bros! #pizza #collaboration #galway #craftbeer #indiebeer
