🌟 Exciting Milestone Alert! 🌟 Tonight, we’re bringing all our incredible mentees together for our very first group workshop as part of our pilot mentorship programme! This evening is all about mindset — setting big dreams and learning how to make them a reality. ✨ We’ll kick things off with a fun activity: Imagining the future and the headline we’d each love to see in ten years. What story will they be proud to tell? 🔍 From there, we’ll dive deep into the power of a positive mindset, understanding our values, and working with our favourite life equation, E+R=O (it’s much more fun than any maths class!). Our goal is to help these brilliant young women leave with a clear plan for turning their ambitions into achievements. 💪 But it’s not all about what we need to work on — we’ll celebrate our strengths, too! We’ll explore the strengths they already have and how they’ve used them in their daily lives. By the end, we hope to see our girls feeling inspired, empowered, and ready to tackle anything! Stay tuned for more updates from our mentorship programme. We’re so proud of the progress our mentees are making every day. 💫 To learn more about our programme, head over to https://lnkd.in/em58A4Ve A big thank you to our fabulous partners Allianz, CBRE, Fitzgerald Power, Vhi, Salesforce, &Smyth | Creative Communications and McCann FitzGerald LLP. #MindsetMatters #MentorshipJourney #GirlsEmpowered #FutureLeaders #TheShonaProject

At the Shona Project, we feel it's important to amplify the voices of the girls and young people so that those who make decisions that impact us all can hear our stories. This is their opportunity to have their voices heard. Our national survey helps us to tell our story together. So, if you have a girl or non-binary teen in your life who is aged 12-18, we'd love to hear from them and how they are REALLY doing. Teens can complete the survey here -> https://lnkd.in/ecaamxMd P.S. The survey will take 15 minutes, but, if they choose to, they will be entered into a draw to win 1 of 5 €100 vouchers from a store of their choice, once we get to 1000 responses! A big thank you to Beca Wistreich at The Outcome for supporting us in this research. Tammy Darcy | Ellen Conway | Natasha Thompson-Duggan | Alice Clifford | Lynetta Wang

The world isn’t always the easiest place to be a girl: our brains are often hardwired to see each other as competition, instead of seeing each other as a cheerleader. The Shona Project (TSP) believes in the power of girls supporting girls and particularly established women supporting the younger generation. Mentorship plays a huge part in every aspect of TSP. You don’t think we got to where we are today by just winging it? Nope, our whole team is mentored by an army of experienced people, who support and guide us on the things that we don’t know because newsflash… we don’t know everything, and we never will. The tricky thing that we have come to notice is that our young women struggle to identify positive role models and find the opportunity to access and build a relationship with someone who they can call a mentor. Recognising that more support is needed, we at The Shona Project are delighted to have launched the first-year pilot of our National Mentorship Programme! Yesterday, we were joined by our mentees from 5 schools along with wonderful mentors and representatives from our partner organisations Allianz, Vhi, CBRE, Salesforce, Fitzgerald Power, McCann FitzGerald LLP and &Smyth | Creative Communications to officially kick off the programme! A massive thank you to the mammoth effort of our team Tammy Darcy, Ellen Conway, Natasha Thompson-Duggan, Alice Clifford, Stephanie Golds, Lynetta Wang and Erika Crawte for making the programme happen! Also, we'd like to extend a big thank you to the three incredible women who funded the development of the programme: Eva Pau, Oonagh O'Hagan, and Lucy Gaffney. Finally, a special thank you to Natalie Keogh and her team at Allianz for making the day so special in their offices! For more information on our programme, head over to https://lnkd.in/e8nJjx2D If you or your organisation would like to get involved next year, please reach out to our wonderful Alice at alice@shona.ie.
