  • We had a great time at the Formula Student UK 2024 competition. This was our current team's first time in the Formula Student class of the competition, which was a huge achievement for us as we stepped up to the next level of the competition. It was a very insightful and informative experience for us. We received some great feedback and compliments about our battery and car design from the competition judges which we will be carrying into this next year. We would like to thank our sponsors for their continued support of our team, without whom this would not be possible. We would also like to thank everyone on our team for their hard work year on year which has allowed us to progress into Formula Student class. We are already looking forward to Formula Student UK 2025!

Huge thanks to Sosanna Ni Dhubhain, Lead Brake Duct Engineer at Aston Martin F1 Team, for taking the time to come to UCD and giving us the chance to gain an insight into the competitive and fascinating world of F1 🏎 As a past student at UCD, Sósanna gave us invaluable advice on the careers available in F1 and paths of joining the sport as an engineering graduate. We had a great a turnout with many curious and enthusiastic students. Sósanna was amazing, and happy to answer our many questions from day-to-day life to the technical aspects of designing the bleeding edge of motorsport. A special thanks to Dr William Smith for helping us organise this special event.
